About Zoë Leanza

Zoë Leanza is the scientific community manager at Sage Bionetworks in Seattle, Washington, a nonprofit biomedical research and technology development organization. Zoë spent several years in Ethiopia working with USAID's Global Health Supply Chain project to promote the long-term availability of malaria health commodities in rural communities. She was the director and regional coordinator for the country's Stomp out Malaria committee in collaboration with the President's Malaria Initiative, and has also done research in Costa Rica to improve community-based health education programs. Zoë is currently working to promote research collaboration and enable rapid, broad sharing of data and analytical tools through the Accelerating Medicines Partnership Alzheimer’s Disease Project (AMP-AD). AMP-AD is a pre-competitive partnership among government, industry, and nonprofit organizations that focuses on discovering novel, clinically relevant therapeutic targets and developing biomarkers to help validate existing therapeutic targets for Alzheimer’s disease.
